"To talk, to be heard, to be you."
The ways in which we can deliver your counselling and therapy sessions.
There are a variety of ways in which we may partake in therapy together.
It is often considered that Face-to-Face contact is more affective and allows for a greater consideration of the core conditions of counselling including empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard.
As part of my pluralistic framework, I like to give my clients a choice as to how they engage. This allows you to feel comfortable in the way we communicate and be a better fit for your lifestyle and availability.
Face-to-Face - Individual
I offer Face-To-Face counselling at my safe and secure premises in First Avenue, Billericay. As well as examining all that is spoken, it allows for full consideration of a client's body language and general demeanour and ensures a safe and confidential environment.
Face-to-Face - Couples and Families
I offer fully inclusive counselling to couples and families from my secure and private premises in Billericay. Due to the nature of this counselling it is only available in person or by online (Zoom or Teams).
Online (via Zoom)
I offer remote counselling sessions online via the Zoom platform.
I will act as the Administrator and details of the session, including secure log in details, will be sent 24 hours in advance.
I offer technical advice to any client wishing to use this method of communication.
One-to-one counselling is available via telephone using either your landline or mobile. This is suitable for those who do not have the facility or familiarity with video platforms or prefer not to see themselves on screen. We can also utilise your mobile or tablet for Face Time sessions.
Counselling for Business
I offer counselling to groups or individuals within a company by arrangement. This therapy is offered online via Zoom or your preferred platform (with prior agreement). I am happy to attend at the company premises if a secure and private space is available. Please call or email for details.
Email and Text based therapy
These forms of therapy are called 'asynchronous' as they do not necessarily take place in real time. A form of text counselling has been recognised since the 1980's and is similar to how the Samaritan's often communicate with those seeking advice. Please be aware that this form of counselling is not as instant as others and will invariably take longer but can be suitable for certain clients. This process can also be used in conjunction with any of the above methods.
